Waiver of Liability and Authorization (Updated 2025 Edition)
By registering, I understand and accept the terms and conditions of participation in the Ultra Trail Cordillera Blanca 2025 as described herein. I accept the registration and participation conditions, especially the requirement to wear the competition number on the day I choose to complete the route for which I am registered. I declare that I recognize that this event is a potentially dangerous activity, and I agree to abide by its participation regulations.
I declare that I have freely and voluntarily decided to participate in the event, that I am in perfect physical and health condition, and that I am adequately trained and prepared to participate. I will accept any decision made by the race organizers regarding my participation, and I understand that registering for the race grants me the right to participate in the competition on the dates indicated in this guide.
If I am unable to participate in the race or collect my competition kit on the dates established by the organization, I will not be able to claim the competition kit or request a refund of the registration fee. Likewise, I understand that the organization commits to a partial refund of the registration fee in case of event cancellation or postponement, provided that such decisions are made before the deadlines detailed below:

70% of the registration fee if canceled before February 28, 2023

50% of the registration fee if canceled before April 30, 2023

30% of the registration fee if canceled before May 31, 2023
The refunded registration fee will not include any processing fees or commissions. The refund will be processed within a maximum of 30 calendar days, once contact has been established with the organization via email.
If I wish to retain my registration for a future edition, I must notify the organization via email. If I choose to postpone my registration to the next or future editions, no additional fee will be charged.
I assume all risks associated with my participation in this race, including but not limited to injuries, falls, accidents, physical harm, psychological harm, moral damage, illnesses transmitted through contact with other participants, general illnesses, heart conditions, and other possible risks. I also assume the risks related to external conditions such as weather, temperature, rain, humidity, vehicular traffic, course conditions, and, in general, any risk that I acknowledge and have assessed. Furthermore, I declare that I am familiar with the race route and the general and specific race information.
Having read this declaration and understanding these facts, and in consideration of my participation in the race, I, on my behalf and on behalf of any person acting in my representation, successors, assigns, or heirs, release and discharge from any liability, claim, compensation, damage, loss, or profit loss the event organizers, Ultra Trail Cordillera Blanca, Promotora Save, local and municipal authorities, regional and national government, Huascarán National Park, active brand teams, partners, sponsors, and their representatives and successors from any claim or liability of any kind arising from my participation in this event, even in circumstances of unforeseen events or force majeure, whether such liability arises from negligence or fault on the part of the persons mentioned in this declaration, as well as from any loss, theft, and/or robbery I may suffer.
I understand that the organizers reserve the right to admission, modification, or cancellation of the event for any reason, and under no circumstances will the registration fee be refunded.
I authorize the organizers of the Ultra Trail Cordillera Blanca 2025 and sponsors to use photographs, films, videos, recordings, and any other media records of this event for any legitimate use without any financial compensation. Additionally, I freely and voluntarily authorize the processing of any personal data I provide during the event by any means, as well as its incorporation into the organizers' databases, for the purpose of sending information related to the race, promotions, and advertising from the organizers via emails to the registered email accounts and phone calls to the provided phone numbers. I also authorize the organizers to send or transfer my data to any of the companies that control them, act as their controlling entities, or are under common control with them, as well as to their commercial and strategic partners, both within and outside the national territory, for the purposes authorized herein.

Fouls and penalties

The following will be recognized as major breaches of good sportsmanship and
could cause warnings to participants:

Not respecting the people of the organization and athletes.

Failure to obey an order from race management.

Not providing assistance to a person in difficulty.

To dirty or affect the environment in any way.

Failure to notify in case of abandonment.
Runners who commit such violations may be subject to a single warning. If they repeat the same or other such behavior, they will be subject to disqualification by the organization.
In addition, the following behaviors will be directly sanctioned with the disqualification of the runner:

Be accompanied by people, cars, motorcycles, bicycles or other vehicles.

Wearing the number incorrectly or altering its vision.

Using or resorting to shortcuts off the established route.
-
Do not pass through an assistance point.
-
Leaving a checkpoint after the deadline.
Engaging in attitudes, verbal or not, that are offensive or insulting to the organization's staff. -
Failure to comply with having the MANDATORY material.
Assistance between competitors is allowed without any penalty, just like in the PA (ASSISTANCE POINTS).
